SUP, stand up paddle boarding, lessons, tours and yoga

Oceah Oceah SUP & YOGA is SUP (Standup Paddle Boarding) in Toronto, providing SUP lessons, SUP tours and SUP yoga. First Nations sisters Jenifer and Sharon Rudski were introduced to SUP in 2009 and immediately fell in love with the sport. With their passion for outdoor adventure, their connection to yoga and love of surfing they conceived Oceah Oceah to share SUP with everyone. Their mission is to connect people and build community on the water in Toronto.

Oceah Oceah’s signature tour is The Humber River Tour. This guided paddle tour takes you up the Humber River, Toronto’s originial indigenous trade route. Experience the calm and peace of escaping the city without actually leaving the city. Embarking from Budapest Park, we paddle west turning up the Humber River where the river opens up and the noise quiets down. Surrounded by trees and tall grasses, you can hear the birds. This is a tour that people come back to again and again, and one we LOVE to share! There is always something to see and explore, from the bird sanctuary and turtles to the water lily cove.

Find all of the amazing SUP classes on the website, classes run regularly all season long from June to September. If the scheduled classes don’t coincide with your unique schedule we can arrange private and group classes. Also, follow us on Facebook and Instagram where we post special events, workshops, retreats and let you know when the surf is up- YES it’s possible to surf on Lake Ontario! All Oceah Oceah instructors are Paddle Canada Certified SUP Instructors and paddle yoga classes are taught by Yoga Alliance Certified teachers.

SUP Stand Up Paddleboarding "Hoe he'e nalu" in the Hawaiian language is an emerging global sport with a Hawaiian heritage. The sport is an ancient form of surfing, and reemerged as a way for surfing instructors to manage their large groups of students, today it is practiced by people all over the world, on oceans, lakes and rivers as a way to connect with the water, community and self. Done standing up on a large surfboard with a long paddle, paddle boarding is a fun way to get a full body workout while exploring and experiencing the calming beauty of water.

Benefits - Paddle Boarding tones and strengthens your core, arms, legs, and aligns your whole body from the soles of your feet up. Paddle boarding relieves stress, promotes balance, and the connection and interactions with nature increase your mental and over all well-being.
