Yawé:kon Foods

"Yawékon" in the Mohawk language means "it tastes good!". With the help of local Chef-mentors and friends, Chef Tawnya Brant was able to develop a local food shop offering take away and catering services to Ohsweken and surrounding areas. Since 2014, Tawnya has developed her culinary range to include the flavours of her Haudenosaunee childhood. Many ingredients used in her dishes come directly from the vegetable and herb gardens, and crops of her own home. Now she is branching out and sharing her Indigenous food knowledge with anyone willing to learn!
